Chapter 18

QUINN

When the doors for the lift open, Luke walks in still holding my hand and turns me so that he is standing behind me. The lift is full, so he wraps his big hands around my waist, pulling me back against him. At first, I think he is trying to make room, but within seconds it’s obvious what he is doing. I can feel the hard length of him pressing against my hip.

He leans down and whispers in my ear, “This is what I want to do with you for the rest of the day.” His voice is deep and husky. “How do you feel about that, gorgeous?”

My answer is silent but relays the message I want to send. I push my hips back against his hardness and sway them side to side as I grin and continue to stare at the doors on the lift. A low throaty growl rumbles next to my ear before I feel a sharp nip to my lobe and then a warm tongue that laves away the sting. My panties are instantly damp, and a little gasp escapes my lips. I suddenly can’t wait to get the hell off this lift. A throaty chuckle rumbles behind me because he knows exactly what he is doing.

Finally, the bloody doors open, and people start to filter out. I feel him trying to discreetly arrange himself while I’m still standing in front of him. I scoff to myself, good luck arranging that monster in those snug jeans, I’ve seen it and believe me, there is no where you can hide it.

As if he can read my mind, he leans down and whispers, “You’re a bad girl,” before he nudges my back, forcing me out of the lift.

“You started it,” I laugh as I grab his hand so I can walk beside him.

He links our fingers and smiles down at me. “So, do you want to go out for lunch or order in? I need to feed you because you are going to need the energy for what I have in mind for the rest of the day.” The man is bold, and I love that he is just like me that way.

I glance over at him; he isn’t even looking at me. He has a huge smile on his face and a determined look. I’m just as determined so I don’t see any reason why we should beat around the bush. He is leaving tomorrow, after all; we need to make the most of the time we have together, just like we did the last time we were together. The less talking the better.

“I don’t see the point in wasting any more time, we both know what we want. Let’s order in. How far is your hotel from here? And please tell me you aren’t rooming with Hawk or Shane.”

He laughs and pulls me into his side before releasing my hand and wrapping his big arm around me. We walk like that until we are outside the hospital and climbing into a cab.
